In todays session i wrote the content for the double page spread, which will appear in my final version. I managed to do this quite quickly and I think that the writing is of good quality in the style that I was aiming for. I decided to keep to the question-answer set up, as said before , i feel that this works well in the informal feel I am going for in my magazine. However, I decided that the large graphic ‘Q’ and ‘A’ at every line made the page too busy and so i got rid of them, simply leaving the text.
i also altered the colour scheme of the whole magazine. i felt that the current one looked too feminine and i wanted it to be more gender-neutral. using the colours of a dark blue and dark pink/purple work well at this, as well as looking attractive and eye-catching.
i basically altered each page so that it would be ready to add my own images to. unfortunately i was unable to complete my photo shoot due to illness but plan to do it before my lesson next week. this way, i can simply edit the photographs and add them onto my pages. I feel i have done all i can do without the photographs and so will have to continue next week.
here are the new versions of my front page, contents page and double page spread:
